Last Comic Standing 7 Audition

I spent the last 24 hours in LA sleeping on a sidewalk, standing in line, while it rained, and a bunch of good comics hung out and told jokes and had fun. it sucked, the line never moved, people didn’t have any information, “staged auditions” were going through the door left and right, I heard that 180 something people had set times to audition. well … the 200+ comics who were in the rain got fucked.
yup, fucked.
the whole this was staged to get a “crowd” and by noon only 30 people had been seen, 3 hours… 30 people.
they broke for lunch, no one really told anyone else that, we just kept standing, waiting, getting drenched, waiting.
I was on the corner of N. Kilkea and Melrose Ave and from the time of 8am until 5pm when I finally said FUCK IT .. moved 45 feet … inches from the audition door when a bunch of PA’s came out (A Production assistant is a grunt, his job to do move stuff, organize papers, bitch duties) its a job I’ve had and its a start for a lot of people … but they dont know shit … they all tell you different things … and when you ask for someone with authority….you get…fucked.
So … when the PA’s came out around 4:30 and told everyone that Nope … sorry … were full … they only took 50 -/+ people and NO one was passed onto the showcase….
its bullshit people … its staged for the “show” to have a crowd.
so people started tearing up there Release forms (a document giving your name/face/audio to NBC for whatever they want) people started ripping them up
without release forms…….if you show someones face or joke … or fucking anything you get sued. So I hope someone does sue these shady bastards
So I walk over to a Producer and tell him “Man to Man” he fucked up and being an “Industry” person he really fucked up. Who watches Last Comic Standing? Comics … no one else watches because it was canceled already and bringing it back like this is fucked up….
So last minute to collect some release forms and make some comics happy they “tapped” a 1 minute audition for “Producers” to watch later…yeah … $5 says the camera didn’t have a tape in it.

All in all at least we kept ourselves laughing….I’m happy that I now have a dead hooker joke in my repertoire… Keep in contact buddy!
PS you know your website is easily mistaken for ilovechink.com…….its much better than this one….just something to keep in mind

yeah i soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo feel ur pain maaaan!…i flew in from texas on friday…5 am saturday morning,i waited in line and just like you…when i hit the door..sorry folks no more auditions!…im like are u f’n serious?!!!….wow!…ahhh well,gotta nice trip out to cali…maybe next yr…if that?….i will camp out 9 days earlier…lol…thanks for lettin em have it!…much luck to you and ur stage time
